Yes. Landlords in England are legally required to have a valid Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) for all rental properties. The report must be carried out by a qualified electrician and renewed every five years, or at the start of each new tenancy if sooner. We can carry out EICRs and any remedial work identified.
The time depends on the size of the property. A typical two or three bedroom house usually takes two to three days. Larger properties or those requiring more extensive remedial work will take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeframe when we assess the job.
NAPIT is a government-authorised body that certifies electrical contractors. Being NAPIT registered means our electricians are qualified to carry out electrical work and self-certify that it meets Building Regulations, without you needing to involve the local authority. It's your assurance that the work is done safely and legally.
For most jobs, yes - we'll need access to your property throughout. For larger projects we can discuss access arrangements to suit your schedule. We always let you know in advance when we're arriving and how long the job is likely to take.
Yes. All our installation and alteration work is fully certificated. For consumer unit upgrades, EICRs and other notifiable work, we also submit the required notifications to Building Control. You'll receive copies of all paperwork for your records.
